James R. Bourbeau, CPL - President and Owner

James R. Bourbeau, CPL (President and Owner) has been actively involved in the land business since 1978. He has worked oil and gas basins throughout the continental United States encompassing 12 years of experience in the Rocky Mountain and Great Plains Regions and 23 years of experience in the Appalachian Region. His accolades include Vice President of the Chippewa Minerals Associates, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, current National Director with the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), former Chairman of the Legislative/ Regulatory Committee, as well as past President and Treasurer of the Northern Appalachia Landman’s Association (NALA). Jim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Michigan University, a Master’s of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University, and an additional 20 hours towards a second Master’s Degree in Administration. He is currently an active member of NALA, MAPL, WAPL, and the Michael Late Benedum Chapter (MLBC).

Jentry Bourbeau Whiteman - Vice President of Finance

Jentry began her career in the oil and gas industry as an independent field landman for JBLS before moving in house. Currently she oversees the financial assessments and monetary networking of Jim Bourbeau Land Service. Jentry attended Montana State University Billings as well as the University of Montana where she studied social work, communications and liberal arts.

Jentry is currently an active member with the American Association of Professional Landman ("AAPL") and an active member of the Northern Appalachian Landmans Association ("NALA")

Johna Bourbeau Oates, RPL - Vice President of Operations

Johna joined the oil and gas industry as an independent field landman. She manages day-to-day workings of in-house relations, as well as overseeing the analysis of leases and title work. She holds a Bachelor of Art Degree in Social Work from the University of Montana, in Missoula, Montana, where she graduated Cum Laude.

Johna is currently an active member with the American Association of Professional Landmen ("AAPL"), and an active member of the Northern Appalachia Landman's Association ("NALA").

Chad Fette (Southpointe) - Director of Marketing - Appalachia & GIS Specialist

Chad was hired at JBLS, Inc. in the summer of 2010 as a GIS Specialist. He moved to Pittsburgh to work in the JBLS Southpointe office location later that year. He holds a Master's of Science degree in Sustainable Systems and a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Sport Management, both from Slippery Rock University.

Chad worked with our current Director of Marketing to update our print ads and digital/online information. In the spring of 2013, Chad was asked to head our regional marketing efforts for our Appalachia area, currently he is working to increase our notoriety in the Oil and Gas industry through specific and direct efforts.
 
Chad is an active member of the Northern Appalachian Landman's Association ("NALA") where he serves as a Website Committee member and is the lead designer.

Andrew Grafton - GIS Manager

Andy has been a part of the JBLS GIS team since December of 2007. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with a minor in GIS from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Along with various ESRI certifications, Andy has been the administrator for the most comprehensive Geographic Information System in the Marcellus Shale.

Kara Grafton - GIS Specialist

Kara has been a part of the JBLS GIS department since January of 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with a minor/concentration in Geographic Information Systems from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2006. Along with her degree, she has various ESRI certifications.

Elaine Grieser - Senior Title Abstractor

Elaine Grieser has been with the company since March of 2006. Her duties include performing title examinations for leasing and drill site purposes. She educates and oversees abstractors in the field and assists leasing agents in determining current ownership of oil and gas. She spoke on The Basics of Title Searching at the Fall 2007 Meeting of NALA.

Prior to joining the company she was employed by the law firm of Cassidy, Kotjarapoglus and Pohland, LLC located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She was an abstractor for Atty. Sean Cassidy for 26 years beginning in1980. During that time she performed unit and drill site title examinations. She was in charge of the title work coming out of Crawford County and was a liaison between various oil and gas companies and Atty. Cassidy. She also trained new abstractors coming into the firm. She has worked in many counties in the state of Pennsylvania as well as the states of Ohio, New York and West Virginia.

Daniel G. Hruska, RPL - Project Manager

Dan started in the oil and gas industry as an independent field landman for JBLS. Dan held a crew chief position on multiple leasing and ROW projects before moving in-house to manage day to day operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from Davis & Elkins College, in Elkins, West Virginia.

Dan is currently an active member with the American Association of Professional Landmen ("AAPL"), the Northern Appalachia Landman's Association ("NALA") and the Michael Late Benedum Chapter ("MLBC"). Dan is also active in the legislative and regulative committee of the AAPL.

Mike Inman - GIS Specialist

Mike joined the JBLS GIS department in April of 2011. He has a Bachelor of Art degree in Geography, with a specialization in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He also has a Bachelor of Art degree in History and is currently working on a GIS Master's degree through Penn State's World Campus.

Randy Littlecott, CPL (Southpointe) - Land Manager

Randy got his start in the oil and gas industry as an independent field Landman. He has held crew chief positions on multiple projects throughout New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Since joining the JBLS Team as a Project Manager, Randy has also taken on the title and responsibilities as Land Manager, where he oversees the day-to-day operations of our Southpointe office in Canonsburg, PA. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Davis & Elkins College, in Elkins, West Virginia.

Randy is currently an active member with the American Association of Professional Landmen ("AAPL"), an active member of the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL (MLBC-AAPL), and an active member of the Northern Appalachian Landman's Association ("NALA"), where he currently serves as Vice President, as well as Ethics Committee Chairman.

Eric J. Peebles, RPL - HR Director

Eric started in the oil and gas industry as an independent field landman for JBLS. Eric held a crew chief position on multiple leasing projects throughout Pennsylvania before moving in-house to manage day to day operations. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.

Eric is currently an active member of the American Association of Professional Landmen ("AAPL") and an active member of the Northern Appalachian Landman's Association ("NALA").

Carol Sheets (Columbus) - Project Manager

Carol has been involved in the oil and gas industry in Ohio beginning in 1974, working in-house for several local operators. Since 1988 she has focused her career as an Independent Landman within the Appalachian Basin. She has a long history of land acquisition experience, coupled with years of field experience, inclusive of title abstracting, curative, drillsite preparation and surveying, and right of way management.

Carol has been with JBLS since 2006, and offers high-level land and title experience, while offering over 30 years of Ohio experience and involvement. Carol is a member of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association.
